Tell us about your venue.
Nestled in the Annapolis Valley on a thirty acre farm, our family owned and operated, century old barn has been given a new life while retaining its original charm. It's constructed with hand-hewned timbers, measures 60’ x 45’. There is a custom bar in the room to the left as you walk in the large front doors on the main floor, a room to the right for food and from there you have access to the lower and top floors of the barn.
How much time is included for setup and tear down of our event?
We hold one wedding a week which gives you three days of time on the property. Friday afternoon for setup and rehearsal and Sunday until 1 for tear down.
How many guests can your venue accommodate (for ceremony and seated reception)? Is there ample parking?
We can accommodate up to 150 guests in the barn and have lots of parking in the field beside the barn, with signage and lighting.
Do you have a list of preferred or exclusive vendors? Can I bring in an outside caterer (do they have access to a kitchen)?
We provide a list of local vendors as a courtesy to couples that book with us. Outside caterers are welcome and also family style potlucks and bbq’s. There is a large prep area with tables and a fridge, no onsite cooking at this time.
Are there overnight accommodations on site or near by?
There are lots of accommodations nearby, we have them listed by type and distance on our website. Couples are welcome to bring a couple of RV’s if needed.
Does our rental include any tables, linens, chairs, etc.?
We include tables and chairs for up to 150 people.
Do you provide any décor items?
We have a large variety of decor onsite you are welcome to use. We also have a few onsite rentals.
Is there an option to get married outside? What if it rains?
Absolutely. The outside ceremony area includes a large rustic arbor and overlooks the north mountain and horse pasture. The top floor is a popular spot for an indoor ceremony but the lower floor of the barn is also great space for an indoor wedding as its right off the covered patio.
Can we also have our rehearsal at the venue the night before our wedding day?
Yes, most couples opt to hold their rehearsal after they are finished decorating.
Do you have staff on-site to help with coordination, setup and tear down?
We will be there on Friday to help you with setup. On Saturday we are there to show your vendors where to set up and make sure everything is ready for when guests arrive and we maintain the garbage and washrooms throughout the day. Sunday we take care of the general cleanup of the barn.
