Tell us about your venue.
Our early 1900’s timber frame barn is located on a 185 acre farm property in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. We are located just outside of Berwick and Aylesford on the South Mountain, overlooking the valley. The barn has been beautifully restored, while keeping the original character and historic elements. A perfect spot for weddings where you can have your ceremony, reception and photos all in one spot. We are also available for other events.
How much time is included for setup and tear down of our event?
Our goal is to make the actual wedding day as relaxing as possible. We allow access to the barn the day before the wedding for setup, and until 1 pm the day after wedding for clean-up.
How many guests can your venue accommodate? Is there ample parking?
We are currently set up to accommodate 150 wedding guests for ceremony and seated reception. We have ample parking space on site in one of our fields close to the barn.
Do you have a list of preferred or exclusive vendors? Can I bring in an outside caterer?
We do not have any restrictions on vendors. If help is needed, in finding the right vendor, I can provide a list of local options. Clients are free to bring in a caterer of their choice. They will have access to our in-home kitchen for warming only. There is no full scale cooking permitted. They will also have access to a fridge.
Are there overnight accommodations on site or near by?
There are currently no overnight accommodations on site. There are quite a few different options within 30 minutes of us, such as hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts and campgrounds. When inquiring, I can provide clients with a list of these options.
Does our rental include any tables, linens, chairs, etc.?
The rental price includes 17 – 72”x 30” handmade pine tables and chairs and benches to go with. There is enough seating included for 100 people. We do not include linens, but in my opinion, the tables are nice enough that they don’t really need linens, depending on the look and feel the client is going for.
Do you provide any décor items?
We do not include décor items in our rental cost, as some people prefer to bring their own. However I do have a small assortment available for rent. Included in this list of items are things such as church pews, ladders, barrels, apple boxes, arbour, etc.
Is there an option to get married outside? What if it rains?
Clients have option to get married outside, or in the barn. Having this option makes it easy for last minute change of plans if it happens to rain. There are a few different areas on the property that are well suited for the ceremony, some of which include great, valley views.
Can we also have our rehearsal at the venue the night before our wedding day?
Because we allow access to the barn the day before the wedding for set up, rehearsal can also happen here too.
Do you have staff on-site to help with coordination, setup and tear down?
We will have at least one staff member on site to help with coordination and set-up. The tear down and clean up the next day is fully your responsibility.
